Employing genetically engineered mouse models as preclinical platforms

Our lab is focused on the biology of lung cancer and B cell malignancies. We employ large scale pharmaco-genomic screens, in conjunction with computational approaches, to discover genotype-specific and actionable molecular vulnerabilities of cancer cells. We further have established a large collection of genetically engineered mouse models, which we employ for an in vivo validation of our observations. We also employ in vivo insertional mutagenesis screens, in order to identify potential mechanisms underlying the process of oncogenic transformation, as well as the occurrence of drug resistance. All this work is geared to toward a swift and rapid translation into the clinical arena.
