The Else Kröner Forschungskolleg Cologne has been successfully established in March 2017

The Else Kröner Forschungskolleg Cologne has received funding for the establishment of an innovative, personalized training program for young physician scientists.

The constituting meeting of the Else Kröner Forschungskolleg Cologne took place in June 2017 and we are now in the process of selecting promising applicants for the first funding period. Our consortium pursues a highly focus approach, capitalizing on the rich scientific and clinical infrastructures at the Cologne campus to characterize mechanisms of clonal evolution of cancer genomes in response to targeted therapeutic interventions. It is the declared goal of our consortium to generate meaningful preclinical data, to validate these data in the clinical arena, to ultimately prolong the survival of our cancer patients.
