The application and selection process

Our fellows will receive an up to two-year laboratory training (max. 1 year funded by the Medical Faculty and the recruiting clinic) and will get full support by their hosting PIs during this time. The hosting laboratory will contribute with funding for reagents and lab consumables and additional costs for sequencing, imaging or single cell analysis. After the successful completion of the funding period and upon rigorous evaluation through our scientific advisory board, our fellows will also have the chance to prolong their laboratory rotation for an additional 6 months (funded through the recruiting clinic).

We will apply strict excellence criteria for the selection of our fellows. An obligate criterion for inclusion into the program is a strong track record of successful completion of scientific projects, including an experimental MD thesis that was graded no less than magna cum laude.
We strive to specifically include female fellows into our program and aim for an equal gender distribution. Our consortium provides a family-friendly environment and we have implemented specific measures to enhance our attractiveness specifically for female physicians aiming at a career as a physician scientist.

If you are interested in our program, please fill out the application form and return it to our central office. We also ask applicants to submit a research proposal (3 pages, including background, preliminary data, specific aims and work program with milestones) and your CV.

THE APPLICATION IS CLOSED

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our central office at any time.
